Capelli Academy’s Esthetics Program - 1160 Hours

Natural and Artificial Nails
Manicuring and pedicuring are the foundation of the Nail Technician program.  You will learn not only basic and spa techniques, but complete nail and skin anatomy. You will also learn how to treat nail diseases and disorders. Our students also learn how to improve the appearance of their client’s nails through artificial nail enhancements of gel and acrylic. Be confident you will be trained in the basic nail anatomy, applying tips, nail repair, and nail art.

Hair Removal
The removal of unwanted hair has become a large aspect of our industry with both male and female clientele. Students will learn how to safely and effectively remove unwanted hair of both the body and the face through waxing techniques. Cleanliness and professionalism are carefully dictated along with area-specific techniques.

Skin Care and Facials
Proper care for the skin has become an everyday staple in today’s society. The Skin Care program teaches students to analyze and identify a variety of skin conditions and disorders, and prescribe regimens to treat skin problems.  Through specialized techniques and the aid of facial machinery students will learn how to treat specific facial conditions and educate their clients on everyday maintenance.

Make-Up
It is important with today’s trends that a makeup artist understands the complimentary aspects in making a client look and feel her best. The makeup portion of the program will show students how to enhance a client’s look using flattering techniques and practicing high standards of sanitization.

During the course, the student will also receive training to develop entrepreneurial skills. The objective is to help students apply their skills successfully in the marketplace by learning how to take advantage of marketing and goal-setting
Students will learn about different aspects of increasing self-awareness and self-esteem, practicing effective communication, fostering team building, improving decision-making skills. Opportunities for practicing and applying these skills will be provided throughout the program.

31-week course curriculum includes 1160 hours of teaching students to become an Esthetician based on Manitoba Standards requirements. Attendance is 5 days a week for 7.5 hours a day, Tuesday through Saturday
